Our Mission: Enrich Children's Lives Through Sports

About SEND:
Founded in 2000, the Sports Equipment Neighborhood Drive (SEND) is a charitable 501(c)3 organization that collects and distributes pre-owned sports equipment to those in need.

Our primary donors are the players and families of New Jersey's Soccer Leagues but SEND also welcomes Lacrosse equipment at specified locations and is expanding to other sporting categories through franchising.

Equipment has been donated to Afghanistan, Cameroon, Haiti, Kenya, Laos, the Philippines, and several programs across the NY/NJ area including Manhattan, Newark, Paterson, Harlem, the Bronx, and other local families

NOTES:

* Donations of all kinds are acceptable. We will take anything a soccer player could use, including jerseys, shorts, shin guards, socks, cleats, balls, bags, warm-ups, water bottles, pennies, cones, etc.

* This is a collection of new and gently used soccer equipment. "Gently used" refers to any equipment that is not ruined, torn, or excessively dirty - really anything that could be used again. Having used gear is better than having none at all!

* If possible, clean the donated items. Send the uniforms, warm-ups, etc., through a wash cycle. Wipe down the shoes, balls, shin guards, etc, with a disinfecting bleach solution (3/4 cup of disinfecting bleach diluted in 1 gallon of water. Although we ask the recipient to clean the donated gear, it is not always possible on their end, so the extra time it takes to clean the gear is greatly appreciated!

 * Jerseys do not have to be in complete sets and it doesn't matter if they have logos or numbers on them. Balls do not have to be deflated. It is helpful if you couple shoes together by placing a rubber band around each pair or by tying the shoe laces together
