Volunteers are the backbone of the Piscataway Soccer Club. We could not exist without the dedication of hundreds of Piscataway and surrounding area citizens. The time, energy and enthusiasm of volunteers fuel our soccer club and make our young athlete’s dream come true. 

We asked our club members to nominate volunteers that they feel should earn the titled of Volunteer of the Year. The following are words directly from the volunteer’s nomination

TRAVEL: Lou Raymondi

Words to describe the Volunteer: Dedicated, Compassionate, Caring,

Committed.

“Lou is the head coach and manager of two PSC Travel teams, Santos and Everton. He balances the schedules of both travel teams for practices and games. Behind the scenes, he always trying to improve himself.”

“Parents support Coach Lou’s dedication to the players and know that he builds up his team to teach them to be gentlemen on and off the field”

INTERCOUNTY: Natashchja Henry

Words to describe the volunteer: Compassionate, Passionate, Dedicated

“Coach Henry exemplifies what a true coach and leader is.”

“She goes above and beyond for the boys, and they love her (and so do us parents). She is present at every practice and game even after driving her husband to the hospital.”

“I’ve personally have seen an immense improvement on my autistic son. She has made his return to soccer worth waiting! She makes sure he gets playing time without worrying about the score. All of us watching her work are in awe about this. I wish I could have found her when my son was 7 years old.”

TOPSOCCER: Xavier Smith

Words to describe the volunteer: Patient, Kind, Understanding

“All of the player love him dearly… he’s patient with all of the players. Especially the ones that need a little extra attention.”

“He will volunteer to be with a player and stay with them the entire time” 

“He is never disengaged or irritated. But willing to pitch in and lend a helping hand. He understands the importance of his roll in these kids lives.”
