Coaching Aids and Training

This page includes information for coaches and interested parents about training certification,  soccer reference material links, club library material, and more. If you some material that may assist coaches provide a better experience for our club members, please contact the webmaster with your contribution.


Piscataway Soccer club requires coaches to obtain a National or State coaching license within the timeframes specified in the Constitution and By-Laws. Coaching children under 11 years of age require an F-Level Coaching License while ages 11 - 19 years require an E-Level Coaching License. Once you obtained your E Coaching License, don't stop there because the D-Coaching License is the next step to learning more.  If you are interested in pursuing a coaching license as a coach in PSC, the club reimburses you for the cost of the class. Please refer to the reimbursement policies or contact a Board of Director's member.

COACH ETHICS

As coaches in the Piscataway Soccer Club our main objective is to develop young soccer players in a fun and safe environment. Every coach to the best of his or her ability should strive to create this environment for all practices and games. Coaches need to be able to have fair attitudes towards their players, parents, coaches, and referees. Much of this is discussed in the "Set A Good Example" (SAGE) video. In addition to SAGE, the Piscataway Soccer Club expects that the coaches also abide by the following ethics:
