Who is SYSL NJ?

SYSL NJ was founded to provide a competitive, semi-recreational soccer environment for member clubs and organizations and their constituents to develop, promote, and serve the NJ soccer interests of their youth members (under the age of 19) through healthy amateur competition and educational programs.

SYSL NJ is a semi-recreational league and is comprised of member clubs from the suburban New Jersey footprint of Union, Middlesex, Essex, and Somerset counties. The league offers high quality, flighted competition, ranging from the purely recreational athlete through more competitive players that cannot make a full-time commitment to a rigorous travel soccer program. SYSL NJ provides a supportive structure to foster development and recreation without abandoning the thrill of competition and thus provides a home for players at every skill level. Our league also uses a 25 Mile radius philosophy, from Mountainside, NJ, so that no parent/player has to travel more than 30 minutes to travel to a game.

Our league supports good sportsmanship at every level, fair play, and positive learning with a "Kids Remember Moments, Not Scores" mentality.

Play hard, Play smart, Have fun!
